Dear Parishioners,
I want to take this opportunity to once thank those who have come together, helped, and assisted us in working through the COVID-19 Pandemic Guidelines, as we reopened our beautiful church to receive the much-needed Eucharist. There were quite a few things to do and you all adjusted in the most loving way. Now that we have all gotten used to these new norms, we must now apply them
OUTDOORS due to the new mandate that was sent to us by the Governor of California and Archbishop Jose Gomez, so we can continue celebrating the Mass. Archbishop Gomez has instructed us to celebrate services (Mass, funerals, Holy, Hour, Wedding, Confessions) outside. In consultation with my associates, Fr. James, and Fr. Feliciano, we have decided together the following so that we can continue celebrating the various services here at our parish:
Monday through Friday (English) 7:00 a.m. Mass and Tuesday & Thursday (Spanish) 7:00 p.m. Mass to be Livestreamed via Facebook and YouTube Pages, without the community being present. Those wishing to receive Communion, we invite you to participate in the Livestreaming of the Mass, while parked around the perimeter of the Church and after the Mass the priests will distribute Communion in the Parish Garden.
Weekend Masses will now be celebrated in our school parking lot (the Parish Hall side) under the guidelines and requirements that we have been following this past month as we reopened the church.
Continue wearing your mask
Disinfecting stations with also be present
Proving your name and phone number
Temperature check as you enter
Keeping social distance
Being escorted to your chair (PLEASE DO NOT REPOSITION CHAIR TO ACCOMMODATE, ALL CHAIRS ARE SPECIFICALLY DISTANCED TO 6 FEET)
Following the instruction of the Ministers of Hospitality for receiving Communion and exiting the parking lot.
Enter and exit through Coronel Street.
Weekend Schedule of Masses/Confessions are as follows:
Saturday Confessions 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Parish Garden)
The Sunday 12:00 Noon (English) & 1:30 p.m. (Spanish) Masses ARE CANCELLED due to the very hot weather we have been experiencing.
Mass schedules are subject to change at any given moment
We need additional support to help us with Hospitality & Disinfecting and now asking for Set-up/Tear-down Crews. Please contact the Parish Office (818) 365-3967 if you are interested. May God Bless you as we enter another adjustment phase of these new guidelines. We do not know how long this will last, time, Governor and the Archbishop will guide us on that. What I do know is that I truly thank the Good Lord for
EVERYONE during this difficult time and the beautiful way ALL of you have come together as a Parish Community.
